Welcome friends,
Claire and I are en route to the English countryside to celebrate our engagement. It's our first weekend away in ages and feels surreal. Can't help but feel grateful for the UK's progress and optimistic for the months to come.
This marks the second Monthly Highlights newsletter where I share one thing I’ve watched, one thing I’ve read, and one thing I’ve listened to that I think you might like.
I'm also hosting a free workshop to introduce the Make Time framework on May 11th. Grab a spot here.
Alright, onto the mix!
ONE THING I'M WATCHING
🎬Moxie
This is an inspiring film directed by Amy Poehler and based on the novel by Jennifer Mathieu. It follows the story of a high school student who sparks a revolution against the rampant sexism at her school. While there have been critiques of the film, including its portrayal of youth culture, I still found it thought-provoking, moving, and would highly recommend the watch.
ONE THING I'M READING
📚 How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big: Kind of the Story of My Life
Written by Scott Adams, this is a hilarious, wise, and frank autobiography/self-help/career-advice book that I found ridiculously entertaining and chock full of insights. Scott is best known as the creator of the Dilbert comic strip and has also been a prolific author.
ONE THING I'M LISTENING TO
🎶 crs vibes 10
My latest Spotify playlist is out! It’s a good mix of pop, funk, and general feel-good tunes for the warmer months that have been peeking through the clouds in London lately.
